ANCIENT TRADITIONS OF LIGURIA TRAIL

– We begin our tour at the historic ‘Da Virginia’ farinotto, an institution of Pietrese taste for over 150 years! Here we will taste the legendary yellow farinata and discover the white farinata, a speciality of the Savona area.
– We continue with the tasting of a glass of local wine at the historic Giovanni Battista Levo’s wine shop and mescita al bicchiere, a meeting point in the ‘caruggi’ since 1954.
– During this special stage of the tour, you can immerse yourself in the history of Ligurian cuisine and savour authentic recipes prepared by the chefs participating in the project ‘La Gastronomica di Pietra Ligure – stories of cooking since 1955’.
– Aromatic stop with the scent of pesto, the real one, made according to regional specifications and with the Slow Food Presidium Vessalico Garlic, which we will taste, with artisanal ‘accomodate’ trofie at Pastificio Ligure Pietrese
– Since the beginning of the twentieth century, Pietra Ligure’s sweet tradition has been entrusted to Pasticceria Moggia, which will delight its guests with lavender and chinotto delights and traditional Ligurian sweets.
– Let’s close with the artisan ice cream parlour ‘Peccati di gola Tarocco’ where the art of making ice cream meets seasonality and local products, creating delicious flavours
