Iulia Augusta

Built in 13 B.C. by the Emperor Augustus in order to connect Rome to southern Gaul, this specific stretch of the Iulia Augusta links Alassio to Albenga and takes about forty minutes to be completed. Throughout the route you will find ancient churches and the Roman amphitheatre. The Alassio part is the most fun for bikers, but the entire route is characterised by breathtaking views, the horizon and Gallinara Island always remain on the side as you enjoy the smells and scents of seasonal herbs and flowers.
