N.14 Iulia Augusta

The road built in 13 B.C. at the behest of Emperor Augustus connected Rome to southern Gaul, but this specific section joins Albenga with Alassio easily and takes about 40 minutes. Throughout the route you will find ancient churches and the Roman amphitheatre. The Alassio part is the most fun for bikers, but the entire route is characterised by a breathtaking panorama: the horizon and the Isola Gallinara are always on the side as you enjoy the smells and scents of seasonal herbs and flowers.
