Iron Road

This loop route partly follows the ancient Via del Ferro (Iron Road) that connected the Marina di Pietra Ligure with the Ferriera di Isallo employing only mules as means of transport. In addition to its undisputed historical value, this path is also remarkable from a naturalistic point of view as it is immersed in the Maremola Valley, an area rich in waterways, flora and fauna. Approximately 40 metres before the end, the dirt road continues uphill until it reaches the asphalt road leading back to Tovo a San Giacomo, the starting point.
