The Caruggi and The Budello

All the municipalities of the Ligurian Riviera are characterised by charming historic centres, criss-crossed by the so-called ‘caruggi‘, narrow alleyways running parallel to the sea between houses and shops, typical of Ligurian towns.

Fun fact: there is only one ‘budello‘ or gut and it’s in Alassio! This long shopping street, Via XX Settembre, runs through the city and forms its beating heart.
