N.10 Pietra Ligure and Val Maremola

An initial climb takes us towards Ranzi, we then continue along the suggestive ‘Hay Trail’ until we reach the picturesque Church of San Martino. From here, once past the Cabanun, an ancient stone hut used by both men and animals, we take the Gatelle road to the hamlet of Giustenice and then resume the asphalt road towards Borgata Foresto. The road climbs again on a dirt road and then descends towards Ranzi, with its caruggi and ancient wash house in Piazza Santa Liberata. The trail ends by returning to Pietra Ligure via the Napoleonic road and the Strada di San Damiano.
