N.20 Laigueglia Overview

The best path to appreciate the beauty of Laigueglia.
The first part of the walk leads to Poggio Balaie (n.8), an observation point from which you can see Laigueglia from above, the whole arc of the Maritime Alps and on clear days even Corsica. Further on you reach a small village Colla Micheri (n.3) worth a visit, which has been restored thanks to the famous explorer Thor Heyerdahl, who’s been living here from the 1950s until his death. You may then return to the starting point (n.4) by descending from the same Roman road traveled by Pope Pius VII in 1814 on his way back to Rome from Avignon.
